Do not buy

Pros: It is indeed a hard drive as stated on the box.

Cons: They fail often. The warranty is less than a year in practice.

Review: Western digital warranty works like this. You buy a drive. It fails (Western digital lowered it's warranty from 3 years to 1 because they know they have quality problems.) You go through the WD RMA site and get a replacement drive. The replacements ...

Breaks just after warranty expires

Pros: Quiet for the most part until it is just ready to fail.

Cons: Will die under heavy use. Was using it for web applications and heavy database usage.
