Epinions Great Machine and Affordable Too

by  sam_helcher,  Sep 20, 2004
Pros: Price and capability.
Cons: should have had a glass carafe instead of plastic, but for the money, no complaint.
Review: I just purchased my Smoothie 600 Plus and other than being a fine blender, I was awfully happy to get two appliances for the price of one, a blender and a smoothie maker. Works just ...

Epinions Great For Health Shakes!

by  funshopper,  Nov 5, 2006
Pros: This is a great blender for making smoothies and health shakes!
Cons: The base leaks if not tightened securely, and it has to be hand washed.
Review: This is a great blender for making health shakes and smoothies. It is very sturdy and holds a lot, but does need to be hand washed. Vegetables and fruit do not have to be cut into small pieces, as it is easily able to blend chunks efficiently. The only ...

Cons: Must be on to use dispenser. when 1/2 full it doesnt despense well.
Review: I just got this today and have made two smoothies. I love the stir stick that it comes with that is GREAT! I hated my old blender and have seen this in Sam's Club for a few months. Over all I love it,I think it was well worth the 35.00. I was thinking ...

Epinions Back to Basics Smoothie Blender - Get what you pay for

by  jkafer,  Sep 20, 2005
Pros: Works, crushes ice well, inexpensive
Cons: Flimsy, cruddy spigot
The Bottom Line: A great blender for dorms, this is not a replacement for a heavy duty bar blender.
Review: I am a huge fan of smoothies. But I hate the ridiculous price of Jamba Juice even though their smoothies are fantastic. So when my father-in-law purchased the Back to Basics 600 Smoothie Plus Work Top Blender I had to give it a shot. I made ...

Epinions Margarita delight

by  robmccanon,  Oct 16, 2005
Pros: Makes very smooth frozen drinks.
Cons: The Base twists loose during operation causing a huge mess.
Review: This dude does an awesome job of whipping up a frozen margarita. I've used ours over and over and love it. The biggest draw back, however, is in the design of the twist locking base. IT IS BACKWARD and if you churn out lots of drinks or smoothies it ...

Epinions not durable enough for smoothies

by  grizzledguy,  Aug 31, 2005
Pros: worked effectively until it failed
Cons: Not durable, relatively hard to clean (not dishwasher safe).
Review: This lasted 7 months until the drive mechanism failed. The rubber gear pad in the container is rather flimsily attached to a metal disc below the blade unit. Once there is significant stress in the form of ice or frozen fruit, it starts slipping and is ...

Epinions Lack of durability makes this machine a bad choice

by  celgeoff,  Sep 26, 2004
Pros: The container is large.
Cons: It just does not hold up to regular use. It is a waste of money.
Review: I purchased this smoothie maker 6 weeks ago and it has already fallen apart. First, a piece of plastic broke off of the bottom of the container and I sent it back to Target. Then, after obtaining another identical machine, the handle broke off. I ...

Epinions WARNING! May short circuit

by  tr107369,  Feb 18, 2007
Pros: Cute and inexpensive
Cons: May burn up!
Review: I used this thing one time. The second time, I loaded it with ice. Some ice must have caught between the blade and carafe causing the circuitry to literally burn up filling my kitchen with smoke. Use with caution. ...
