Epinions I will never buy another iron again!

by  thegirl,  May 8, 2002
Pros: everything! this iron does the job.
Cons: A little heavy and HOT
The Bottom Line: This is a great product. It does the job.
Review: I have bought black and decker irons in the past. I have been happy with them and my last one lasted about 14 years. I replaced it with a "newer" style, plastic casing iron. It worked for about a month, or so I thought it worked.
I have always...

Epinions Finally, I've found an iron like my Mom's

by  jennevans,  Jun 28, 2000
Pros: Takes out wrinkles with little work, heats up fast and stays hot
Cons: leaks a little water when first using steam, steam button sticks when trying to lift it up
Review: My mother has an old GE iron like this one that just died out. She told me that she had it since before I was born (never tell, but it's over 30 years old). I used to hate using it when I was younger because it was so heavy...this is before I had to...

Epinions I'm In Love With My Iron!

by  leigh10,  Jun 26, 2000
Pros: Irons beautifully
Cons: a little heavy
Review: Okay, maybe I have a boring life, but I love this iron! My grandmother has an old iron that is really an iron. I wanted one too, but they don't make them like that anymore I thought. When I registered for bridal gifts, I included this particular...

Epinions Wrinkles Be Gone

by  2kids4me,  Apr 17, 2000
Pros: everything, cost, heat, use
Cons: nothing
Review: I bought this iron because my mom had used it for years. I love everything about this iron. It's easy to clean, easy to use, easy to fill with water. I think this is one of those products that don't get better with age because it was awesome to...

Epinions the best iron around today

by  susan3450,  Apr 1, 2000
Pros: Has the weight you need for wrinkles
Cons: none
Review: The Black and Decker iron "The Classic" (model F63D) is my favorite iron. I have just ordered two more on-line - my old one died after falling too many times over the past 16 years. Since I lost the use of my Classic I have bought 3 other new...

Epinions Classic Black & Decker Iron

by  Cleavenger,  Feb 29, 2000
Pros: Simple basic model
Cons: Drips water when the steam option is turned on
Review: I bought this Classic, Black & Decker Iron several years ago when my Proctor Silex iron wouldn't heat up anymore. I went to the store and looked at several brands and models and decided on this one because the base of the iron wasn't made of cheap...

Epinions the only iron you will ever need

by  ladykungfu,  Dec 13, 1999
Pros: easy to use, good weight, durable
Cons: funny looking
Review: Just for the record I hate to iron. I think it is one of the all time worst things to have to do. So when I got the classic metal iron model F63D as a gift, ( can you belive it! ) I was not a happy camper. 3 years later ironing is not a problem....

Epinions warranty?

by  rutabaker,  Oct 14, 2007
Pros: It's metal, heavy, and the automatic shut-off is a nice feature.
Cons: 15 words aren't enough to describe the problems of making this iron in China.
Review: I bought this iron today. I tried, it works. It's the third I've had of this particular model and it doesn't work all that long, perhaps 3 years at most. Then it has a tendency to fail. Now I know that the limited warranty---if I could find it to ...

Epinions Sadly, It Ain't Like Mom's

by  c0zmo,  May 11, 2008
Pros: Heavy, inexpensive
Cons: Leaks, spews water on clothes
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it. Pay a little more money and get one with a few features that steams properly.
Review: I hate it. What a piece of junk. Unlike other Black & Decker products this iron is a huge disappointment. This thing does nothing but spew, spurt, spatter and spill water all over the place. I cannot iron with this thing without leaving wet stripes ...

Epinions Waste of $$$$

by  jem8182,  Aug 10, 2005
Pros: Looks nice, heavy enough to get out all the wrinkles
Cons: does not heat up
The Bottom Line: Save your $ and buy a different iron that will last you longer than 2 months!!!!!
Review: My wife received this iron for Christmas and it has already stopped working. It will not heat up anymore and it leaks like crazy!! I would highly recommend not purchasing this iron. Black and Decker was notified of this problem and they said, "sorry...
