Epinions A fantastic product

by  boogie78,  Mar 13, 2003
Pros: Affordable, great service
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: I can now say I'm thrilled that I didn't waste money on one of the more "fashionable" ones - the B&D is great!
Review: After searching in store after store to find a food processor that fit all of my needs and wouldn't break the bank, I came across the FP1500. I thought I'd give it a try, and if I didn't like it I would return it.

Unfortunately, when I got...

Epinions You get what you pay for!

by  mushmouser,  Dec 30, 2006
Pros: Warranty upheld, price
Cons: weak motor, flimsy accessories
Review: I used this processor about 6 times before the motor fried out. I've since used a Cuisinart, retailing at $200, at it is WAAAY better and well worth the extra money, even if you only use it a handful of times a year like me. ON THE FLIP side, Black & ...

Epinions Two people, one problem

by  zankooknaz,  Mar 28, 2004
Pros: Price and accessories.
Cons: The "pros" assumes you get more than one use from it.
The Bottom Line: If you're going to do more than chop soft vegetables, find a more durable product.
Review: I love cooking and do so for a living which, ironically, doesn't pay enough to buy everything I want for my home kitchen. I point that out because experience and research have shown me that food processor get pricey -- but they're worth it. This B&D ...

Epinions not worth the (low) price

by  enitsirk,  Sep 23, 2004
Pros: inexpensive
Cons: flimsy parts, weak motor, no replacement options
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this thinking it's a bargain for the price. You'll end up spending more in the long run to replace it with a better machine.
Review: We received this food processor as a wedding gift late last year. I was thrilled—I'd been using an ancient GE food processor I got at the Goodwill. Much as I liked that old GE, it had a small bowl and no extras. The Black and Decker started out OK—I ...

Epinions Black & Decker FP1500 Food Processor

by  danellewd,  Dec 24, 2007
Pros: None.
Cons: This appliance isn't even worth the price we paid for it.
The Bottom Line: Do not buy this unit - maybe if enough of them are returned to the manufacturer by the stores and consumers, they will stop producing such poorly made products.
Review: My husband decided to purchase this product as a pre-Thanksgiving gift for me and was very proud of his purchase. The salesperson assured him that "the 500 watt motor was more than sufficient for the typical home use, after all it can even make bread ...

Epinions Piece of Junk

by  vjrnts,  Nov 26, 2003
Pros: Price, availability
Cons: Breaks down when you use it.
Review: I bought a Black and Decker FP1500 because the price was right and I am not a heavy food processor user. After about 5 months of very VERY light use, the gear assembly broke. I took it for repairs and the the repairman said that it was really not worth ...

Epinions Piece of Garbage

by  kimrob444,  Sep 14, 2005
Pros: None
Cons: Does not last at all.
Review: I bought this at Target hoping to make babyfood with it. It's a very attractive machine and made by Black and Decker so I figured that it would be a pretty good product. Wrong. The motor burnt out the very first time I used it while pureeing steamed ...
