Epinions Fugi Zi - A Photographer's Dream Catcher

by  lowdog420,  Aug 21, 2000
Pros: simple layout, easy to use well, rangefinder works good.
Cons: Expen$ive, makes buzzing noise when zooming
The Bottom Line: The bottom line here is that this camera is absolutely amazing. It's a breeze to use, and will make you wonder how you could ever use something else.
Review: What do you get when you combine professional medium format camera and an autofocus zoom point and shoot? Some would say that you would call it the Fugi GA645Zi. This new addition to the Fugi line has to make them proud. This is probably one of the...

Epinions Point and Shoot on Steroids!

by  gunner69,  May 24, 2002
Pros: Simple to use; excellent manual; construction; vertical format
Cons: Motor drive noise, advanced settings a little complicated
The Bottom Line: Great camera in the medium format line of equipment. Autofocus, onboard flash, electronic zoom, great manual, ease of use, vertical format, all make this one a no-brainer.
Review: As a professional, I shoot both 35mm and medium format, depending upon subject, purpose, etc. Also own a Mamiya 645 manual focus. This Fuji has practically replaced my Mamiya completely.

I must mention that this is a vertical format...

Epinions Ultimate Tourist Camera

by  rbain0902,  May 2, 2000
Pros: Image quality, portability, user friendliness
Cons: Wish it had a little longer telephoto lens
Review: This camera represented my initial foray into the intimidating world of medium format photography. In retrospect, it could not have been a better choice. The camera is user-friendly almost to a fault. I can set the camera down for months at a time,...

by  trik,  Jun 26, 2000
Pros: Everything
Cons: lens cap buzzer
Review: There is an evil adage in the world of artists that goes “Those who can’t; take pictures”
Well thanks to the Fuji GA645 Zi, I have a new adage: “Those who can’t take pictures, use a FUJI GA645Zi”

I have an “eye” for photographs, and I...

Epinions The Missing Link

by  crowdedhousenl,  Oct 8, 2001
Pros: The Ideal Travel Companion, Brings Sharpness & Detail lightweight
Cons: Automatic ISO & 120/220 detection only works with Fuji-rolls
The Bottom Line: The Fuji 645zi is the missing link between 35SLR weight and 6x45 sharpness for the right price !
Review: I'm a photographer for 34 years now, not for a living, but definitely a fanatic. I'm a captive fan of SLR 35mm, especially NIKON. I've several old NIKONS (1963 F and 2 1974 FT2) with 6 superb "A" type lenses. Besides that I own almost all of the ASAHI...

Pros: Well thought out design. Light weight. Good image quality. Vertical image great for wedding photography.
Cons: Poor location for pc connection.

Epinions GA645Zi, excellent travel & portrait camera

by  appl044,  Aug 17, 2003
Pros: Great travel/portrait camera. Sharp Medium format photos. Compact & fully automatic.
Cons: Zoom lens only, Non TTL flash shoe, difficult manual focus.
The Bottom Line: Take truly professional grade photos without the cumbersome details associated with medium format. If your primary format is printing (albums and enlargements), this is your camera.

Epinions My New Love

by  robtom,  Jul 7, 2004
Pros: Titanium beauty, razor sharp lens, awesome results
Cons: Can't use lens cap with hood, flimsy case
The Bottom Line: This is the easy way to get into medium format quality photography.
Review: I have been taking photographs since I was 12 - now 45. Until I was 21 all my cameras were cheap or borrowed. Then I got the chance to buy a Canon F1 body second hand in mint condition. The sales guy told me it would last at least 30 years - and it has! ...

Pros: Light wight, Easy to use, almost no paralax distortion
Cons: none
Review: I've just spent a week in Venice with this camera and found that it really fits the bill for a light-weight medium format travel camera. The pictures that it turns out are great. I've seen other reviews that harp on about lens flare but found this ...
