Not recommended

We bought this microwave 2 years back and was very unhappy with it as it kept giving us many problems.We had just moved into a new house and were looking for a microwave to go with the kitchen ,and this GE microwave fit perfect,also we loved the way it looked and had several useful functions so we bought it.
Its 1.4cubic foot and has seven instant cooking settings.
The first 2 months it worked just fine ,but after that the problems started.The food did not heat evenly,even cooking was a problem ,the potatoes were never fully cooked.As a result i had to restrict the microwave usage.Then about 6 months later, sometimes, while using the microwave there were these burst of sparks.
I contacted the consumer service and was told to change the metal plate which i did but it did not make any difference.It had been only a year since we purchased this microwave and could not use it anymore because of continuous arcing.We had no choice but to throw it away and buy a new one.
