Excellent choice!

I've owned two GPS systems. The first was part of the car in a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid-Navi, so I was spoiled with audio through the car's AM/FM/CD system. It would fade the sound system to play the next voice prompt and the fade up the tunes. Navigation was good.

My current system is a Garmin 2720. The bean bag dash mount works well and when locked to the display, makes the system quite portable. The included AC adapter and USB cable make updates from the web easy. It was one of the first things I did easily.

The audio is clear at, for me, adequate volume. The test was at 65 mph with windows down. That's all the noise I'd expect - your in-car db level may vary. (Huh???)

The speaker, part of the 12V adapter/plug, is articulated so you can bend it in any direction. It's a nice fit in my center console where there's DC power. Another advantage is having the speaker near the driver's right ear.

Guidance is accurate; voice prompts seem right on time. Street names and directions are timely and clear. I thought I wanted a larger display, but this screen is excellent. Good, clearly visible in bright sunlight and clear, readable and non-distracting at night.

At $399, a solid investment. I would do it again without a second thought. The downside is the extra 20 seconds I sit in the parking lot burning an outdated, very expensive fuel, while the database loads - and I punch in what's needed to proceed. Going from ACC to START, kills power to the Garmin long enough to cause a reboot. Only did that once.
