The Bottom Line:
JVC might have good products, but there poor service prevents me from recommending them!

I bought this TV in December of 2005. I bought it primarily because they were the first to the market with LCOS and when I saw it in the store, I felt the picture was the best.
Unfortunately, after three months the picture started to get darker and became unwatchable. I called JVC and the first person I talked to was nice and she told me to contact the local service center and have it serviced.
It went downhill from there. The service center refused to do anything without contacting JVC for pre-authorization. They kept going on about where I bought it from. I bought it brand new from Dr. Plasma off the Internet.
I called JVC back and they said as long as I was the original owner and it was within the warranty no problem. They agreed at this time that it was probably the lamp and they would send me one. I've called back several times since then, it's been almost two weeks.
Well today was the kicker. Would it hurt the service rep to say: I see you have an open issue, would you allow me a minute to catch up on your notes. No, there is no effective communication anywhere. The guy doesn't seem to understand why I called.
Sorry, I can not recommend anybody ever buying ANY JVC product! Ever! I sure won't buy another.
