Epinions HGW-308 is the WINNER!

by  russwill,  Nov 14, 2005
Pros: great price, cheap to run, instant heat, light, silent, and it looks good too.
Cons: On/Off switch difficult to use (safety boot), hard to see the LEDs on the side.
The Bottom Line: This is the best there is at 110vac-12Amp!
Review: Gas costs TOO much! This is cheap, clean, safe heat! I wasn’t too sure about the “Micathermic” part (I figured it was just a new word), but the thing is *NOT* a regular radiator/heater. In fact I do believe it’s much better than the red-hot wire or ...

Epinions A mixed review

by  disrael62,  Dec 8, 2005
Pros: attractive, light weight and portable, quiet
Cons: NO numeric thermostat (major bummer), does it work well???
The Bottom Line: Without a numeric (readout) thermostat, I would defer a recommendation for the HGW-308. Conceptually a good idea, but I don't know if the product actually delivers the goods.
Review: I have mixed feelings about the Soleus HGW-308: On the positive side, I definitely like the aesthetics of the unit. It is very light weight, making it easy to move from one part of the house to another. It feels very stable when sitting on the ...

Epinions We threw ours in the garbage

by  kcadnas,  Sep 25, 2006
Pros: The concept is great and it looks wonderful. wall mounted, it takes up zero space.
Cons: It didn't work.
The Bottom Line: My final recommendation is don't waste your money. It doesn't work.
Review: because that's where it belongs. We moved our son's bedroom downstairs to the finished basement and his room doesn't have a heat vent. It's a small room with a bunch of furniture plus a trundle bed. The only option was a space heater and I don't feel ...
