Haier - A Problem

I bought one of these units for its light weight and because, being single, I only needed basic washing capacity. I've had mine for going on 3 months and I'm going to return it tomorrow since I have 90 days to return.
I like the light weight but as far as reliability goes this thing didn't cut it for me. I thought I had a defective unit due to some light water leakage so I called Haier and they sent me . . . a defective replacement which did not recognize when it was filled. So I had a nice water mess to mop up when I first tried the unit they sent since it just kept accepting water ad infinitum.
I decided to keep my original unit and for about two months I was very satisfied. It was quiet, simple to operate, and doing a fine job.
Just recently, however, it started losing its ability to adjust when going into spin mode. Rather than shifting itself properly during the spin cycle the unit would jump all over the place and then stop when attempting to spin. This aborted spin cycle caused it to start into an eternal rinse cycle and it would rinse repeatedly. To resolve that I had to power it off and manually tell it to 'rinse'.
The bottom line is that to make this work I had to manually adjust the positioning of clothes after the wash cycle and after each rinse cycle to avoid having the unit abort its own cycle when attempting to spin. This became unacceptable.
I'm dissatisfied with this low end unit and am going to pay for something heavier.
