First impression

Hi - The Haier HLP21e came via UPS and so far looks good. There is a bottom plate to install and the screws did not match 100% however after adjusting one hole - it worked. The washer says hand wash style. The only movement the washer can do is to spin a bit to the right, wait and spin to the left etc. Once you see it you probably would say well if it is clean at the end then it is good but it probably became clean because of the detergent, water and time, the movement can play only a minimum role.
The water hose connector is made out of plastic and the water temp should be below 75degree Celcius ... I am not sure if I can trust the plastic water inlet ... . The hose comes right out of the top part and requires a an other 3 inches of space(or would you bend a water hose that is fixed to a plastic part?) We run the quick program (with low water setting ) and the full program (with full water setting). If you use a lot detergent the foam comes up ... so we will go with the medium water setting.
The sound is reasonable. The spinning worked fine so far. The controls a foil switches ... these might be good in the beginning but I hope they last a bit. The lint filter is attached to the side of the steel tube ... well may be it works if you have a very limited load. We will use the washer for our new baby girl and some T shirts only.
The waste water hose is out of plastic (well that is normal) but I moved it around and as I checked it it had a white stretch mark ... if you bend plastic to much this is a sign where it would break ... so I am not sure if I can trust the waste water pipe ... . I will install a water sensor ... just in case it leaks ...
