Author's Review
I moved from a large home into a garage apartment with no washer connections over a year ago. This meant either going to friends houses to do laundry, laundromat, or the expensive laundry by the pound service.
I had just a little space in my bathroom next to the sink. After measuring, I decided the unit would fit.
I purchased it online and it arrived the next day. I hooked it up, tossed in six dress shirts, some boxers and socks, turned it on and waited. About 35 minutes later, I had clean clothes ready to be hung up.
Although some people seem to have issues with leveling, I have not, which is amazing, since the apartment was built in 1920 and you can watch a golf ball roll from one end of the place to the other.
The unit is well constructed for the size. The top is plastic, but the rest is metal.
I have learned that the drain hose can fall out of the sink, so I have secured it with a tie wrap to the inlet hose. This solved that problem.
I have also had it overflow, but it was because I overloaded it. You just need to learn its limits. I would say six or seven large dress shirts, 4 bath towels with a few wash and hand towels, two pairs of jeans with some socks and underware. I just drop my stuff in without packing it down. When it reaches the top of the tub, I know I have enough. The water will drop everything down and give the clothes room to wash.
As for faberic softener, I have found the Downy Ball works well. However because of the risne cycles, it can wash some softener out.
The default wash cycle is Fill, Wash, Drain, Spin, Fill, Rinse, Drain, Spin, Fill Rinse, Drain, Final Spin.
Quick wash will remove one of the two rinse cycles.
The spin cycles work by spinning, stopping and spinning again. The final spin doesn't stop as often and seems to spin faster. If the load becomes unbalanced during the final spin, it wil start a rinse cycle again in an effort to rebalance the load.
Overall, I am thrilled with this machine. I can't understand why anyone could complan about it.
