I needed a toaster and I wasn't looking for anything spectacular when I spotted this Proctor-Silex brand toaster on sale in a local department store for $9.99. It wasn't too big and would be perfect for the rare occasions I make toast or english muffins. Besides that, I can't pass up a bargain!

This toaster is small in size, and only toasts 2 pieces of bread at a time. Its a pretty basic, no frills toaster, you can adjust the darkness of the toast, but thats about all. It toasts evenly, but tends to burn if you leave the bread in the whole cycle, even on the lowest setting, so it needs to be watched. The top gets hot to the touch, but the sides tend to stay fairly cool.

This toaster is easy to use, simply drop in two slices of bread, choose the darkness or lightness, wait a few minutes and you have toast! It really can't get much simpler!

Clean up is also simple, I just turn it over and dump the crumbs into the trash can, wipe it down with a damp sponge and quickly clean with glass cleaner, so it shines.

The only drawback to this toaster is that its not quite wide enough to toast bagels from the bakery. You can, however toast some of the store bought bagels from the frozen foods case, those do fit.

I also use this toaster for the frozen waffles and frozen french toast found in the freezer case. Those generally take 2 cycles and they haven't burnt.

I'd recommend this toaster to anyone who is looking for a simple toaster, for bread or english muffins. This toaster is very durable and will last you a long time.
