Great iron, great price

My iron finally just stopped working one day so I went over to Target and looked at all the irons. I could not stand the thought of buying yet another Black and Decker iron because they would always break or not properly heat. So, I decided to purchase this Hamilton Beach model and I am very happy that I did.

What I like about this iron:

1. The iron base is a non-stick surface and the iron gracefully glides across the clothes without any effort.

2. The quantity of steam is superb.

3. The iron is ready to use in about two minutes.

4. Vertical steaming feature is available. At first, I thought to myself, "why would anybody need a vertical steaming feature?", however, I have used it now on the curtains (keep in mind, I am a male so this is new to me) and the curtains look great after using the vertical steam feature. Even my mom was shocked that I did the curtains and said that I made them look as if she had ironed them!

5. Easy switches that clearly indicate temperature settings.

6. Switching from steam heat to dry heat is as simple as rotaing a dial on top of the iron.

7. This iron includes a self-cleaning setting which eliminates calcium deposits.

8. This iron uses normal tap water.

9. The cord swivels and does not get into the way while ironing.

10. Automatic safety shutoff if the iron is unattended for one hour.

11. Ample size of water resevoir.



What I do not like about this iron:

1. Water resevoir opening is too small.

2. I would desire to have an iron that automatically turns off sooner than one hour. I prefer 15 minutes.


I would highly recommend this iron.
