Epinions For some individuals, excellent

by  bubsywubsy,  Mar 30, 2008
Pros: Excellent sound comfortable for people with large ears, dedicated paring, excellent battery life
Cons: Large by today's standards
The Bottom Line: Excellent sound quality, ease of use, excellent battery life, and the fact that it can be used under at hat or bicycle helmet more than compensates for it's size.
Review: I have this Jabra BT500 and a Motorola H700 headset and I greatly prefer the Jabra. I have large ears and the Jabra's around the ear design works perfectly for me. The sound quality is excellent both in listening and in speaking. The unit has a dedicated ...

Epinions This is a great Headset

by  bluethunder91,  Nov 14, 2007
Pros: Plays the music player songs, comfortable, comes with all accessories.
Cons: I'd like to have a replaceable battery option.
Review: I've owned this BT500 Headset for almost a year and it has been great. I use it with my Razr 3XX phone. It has a good range, clear sound, and is comfortable. It comes with a couple of mini gels so you can adjust it for comfort and if you need a louder ...

Epinions a sweet earpiece with functional styling

by  fly4funcrj,  Jan 30, 2006
Pros: Lightweight incoming/outgoing voice quality design
Cons: uh.. it cost 119.00
Review: Just got the headset the other day and couldn't wait to try it out after the initial charge.. Right away it paired with my phone V710. No problems there.. The clarity of incoming and outgoing calls is the best I've heard so far. I've tried some nokia ...

Epinions It Depends on the Phone

by  dkgs,  Jan 19, 2007
Pros: Comfortable and discreet
Cons: Volume controls are are a little difficult to find and use.
The Bottom Line: Test it with the phone you plan to use it with!
Review: I believe the performance of the headset is directly related to the phone in which it is paired. I replaced my BT250v with the BT500. Jabra headsets tend to fit my ear very well, and do not make my ear hurt after wearing for hours. I use the headset ...

Epinions Good headset for non-Trekkies

by  derk99,  Nov 27, 2006
Pros: Around the ear and not on top of it
Cons: Controls not well marked.
The Bottom Line: Good choice for around the ear Bluetooth
Review: I never wanted to be one of those Trekkie-looking people with the Bluetooth headset attached to my ear jabbering on the phone. Then I ended up with a Blackberry, which is a great e-mail device and a fairly cumbersome telephone. So it made sense then ...

Epinions Best of Jabra's product line

by  andrearp,  Aug 22, 2006
Pros: Good sound quality in quiet environments, best for helmet users.
Cons: Not so good in noisy environments, easy to loose mini gels.
The Bottom Line: A good product from a reputable manufacturer, but voice quality cannot match that of the NxZen (which, by the way, has other drawbacks and cannot be used under a helmet)
Review: The BT 500 seemsn the best product designed by Jabra. I owned the BT250 and BT250v (and many other BT headsets) and the BT500 is probably among the best, considering the hard-to-find and expensive Gennum NxZen 5500 (also reviewed here) as a benchmark for ...

Epinions Good headset, perspiration problems

by  stevies72,  Aug 27, 2006
Pros: Light weight, good fit, excellent volume
Cons: Perspiration and humid conditions disable it.
The Bottom Line: Excellent headset in dry conditions, avoid it if you tend to perspire.
Review: I bought the Jabra largely because of the eargel which actually fits into the ear canal. This was important to me because I could not hear my callers when I used wireless headsets such as the Moto H500 which sit on top of the ear. I purchased the ...

Epinions Wish I could have tried it first

by  mr_hosehead,  Oct 22, 2007
Pros: Comfortable. Relatively inexpensive (but...)
Cons: Performance (or lack of). BT connection lost at 4 ft (or left pocket).
The Bottom Line: Try it first! It's comfortable so if it works for your BT device it may be OK for you. I won't be getting another Jabra.
Review: New law says no hand-held and car has no BT so it's time to get something. Since I never call from car and only rarely answer I was looking for something reasonably inexpensive - BT500 at $34 qualified. There were many good reviews elsewhere (but some ...

Epinions BT500 poor followup to BT250v

by  daraguy,  Jan 18, 2007
Pros: I like the design and fit of earpiece
Cons: NOT an improved product over BT250v
Review: I am disappointed in the performance of what should be the improved successor to BT250v that after only a month of use I am looking at replacements. The comfort & secure fit of this style appeals to me so I upgraded when BT250 stopped charging fully. ...

Epinions Not as good as BT250

by  bigskylabs,  Mar 14, 2006
Pros: Size
Cons: HORRIBLE PERFORMANCE. NOT AS GOOD AS BT250.
Review: The above reviewer is dead wrong. I have been a very happy BT250 user and have recommended that unit to lots of people. Everyone is thrilled with the BT250's performance. I needed to replace my 250 so I went the next step and bought this unit. BIG ...
