Epinions Good looking and functional

by  ssaco,  Nov 16, 2007
Pros: Efficient, functional and good looking.
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: Does it's job in every way and looks good.
Review: The convenience of an electric kettle that is not tethered to a socket is as much a leap forward as when the kettle left the stovetop... Now with so many to choose from I looked first for good appearance and utility in a smaller unit. This Krups has no ...

Epinions Boils well. Lid can be tricky to replace.

by  hedgy,  Feb 4, 2006
Pros: Looks good. Equally good for left-handers.
Cons: Lid mechanism is fiddly. Kettle body gets hot.
The Bottom Line: Nice usability features and looks good, but expensive.
Review: The stainless steel design looks better than some of the white plastic kettles. [I should point out that currently (May 2006) Epinions is showing the wrong photo - they are showing the black model not the brushed stainless model which has a black ...

Epinions ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF

by  cinnamngrl,  Nov 10, 2007
Pros: Attractive
Cons: Malfunctioning on/off switch make this kettle impossible to deal with.
The Bottom Line: Although I think of Krups as a high end high quality brand, this kettle has serious design/manufacturing problems that cause the on/off switch to malfunction.
Review: I was very disappointed with my Krups kettle. I was forced to return it after a couple months. Thank heaven that bed bath and beyond has such a good return policy. It is very attractive. Black with steel accents. Of course the steel accent on ...

Epinions Burned me in multiple ways

by  ras6,  Jan 28, 2007
Pros: Looks nice
Cons: Looks can hurt you. Auto-shutoff did not work
The Bottom Line: DO NOT BUY!
Review: I just bought a Krups FLF 3 and it is going back to the store the same day. I bought the unit to replace a Krups AC17 kettle I have had for years. The unit I was replacing started to steam through the handle; so it was its time to go. I followed ...

Epinions Krups Kettle FL3

by  uskatts,  Oct 2, 2007
Pros: Convenient removable base for easy filling.
Cons: Potential fire hazard.
Review: I had bought this Krups FL3 stainless steel for the fact that the power cord was not attached to the main unit. This design seemed to be convenient so that you need not plug and unplug from the power to fill the kettle. This however is the major design ...

Epinions Do not buy this kettle

by  sahsahsah,  Nov 25, 2007
Pros: fast boil
Cons: on /off switch fails after a few months cap/lid does not stay on kettle
Review: The kettle is remarkably fast at boiling water but that is where it ends. After 5 months of 2 adult users the cap pops off and the on/off switch malfunctions. I have to keep close by the kettle to keep turning it on until finally it catches & boils the ...

Epinions Don't buy this kettle

by  zxc123,  Aug 21, 2006
Pros: Looks good.
Cons: Poor quality and noisy.
Review: Bought it at The Bay. First kettle developed rust pits on the bottom. Second kettle stopped working after six months. Not what I expect from a $90 ...
