Epinions Microsoft's First Foray into the World of Competition

by  voodoslnkr,  Sep 15, 2008
Pros: Screen size, body shape, HDD size
Cons: Battery life
The Bottom Line: The first real competitive player from Microsoft.  If you prefer features over perfect functionality, the Zune might be for you.
Review: A few years back Microsoft tried its hand in the portable music player market. Much like many of their other products, it was supposed to have a lot of different features but none of them really worked that while. This was in stark contrast to Apple ...

Epinions Zune is here to stay!

by  chuckyj360,  Feb 17, 2008
Pros: Smooth interface, 80GB HDD, Screen, Zune market place,
Cons: When is Zune Market place going to get TV and Movie Downloads?
The Bottom Line: You will not find a better MP3 player out there whether it be an Ipod or a different type. Zune is the way of the future!
Review: Click for the full in-depth review! While the Apple Ipod has enjoyed the lions’ share of the MP3 player market, Apple better watch their backs. Microsoft has introduced a new product 2nd generation Zune MP3 player that will give it a run for its ...

Epinions Zune: Chasing The iPod

by  syncing,  Sep 5, 2008
Pros: Price, Screen size, built in radio, and sound quality.
Cons: Outside casing, screen dirties easily.
The Bottom Line: Based on price, options and a decent battery life, the Zune is a best buy for anyone looking to listen, watch and play media on the go.
Review: So you need something to get you through boring bus rides, and long waits at the doctor's office. Well this is it. Microsoft has done something right...again! (Xbox). The Zune is easy to operate, using a familiar touch pad similar to the older ...

Epinions Truly at or near the top of the pack!

by  torontotigs,  Jun 21, 2008
Pros: Big & Bright Screen, Simple Navigation, User Friendly Interface, Large Storage Space.
Cons: A Little Bit too Thick. Some Music does not encode properly. Software available online only.
The Bottom Line: Truly a great buy. Clean lines, great finish, beautifully bright screen and whimsical, almost poetic interface design.
Review: With the recent release of Zune in Canada I picked up the Black Zune 80gig model. Size and Design: I must admit the finish on the Zune 80gig was a welcome sight. Though it's a "little bit" thick and heavy for an mp3 player, I must admit it feels ...

Epinions Finally. An ipod killer (for real) (no joke)

by  dantheman9703,  Jan 20, 2008
Pros: -Big screen -Touch Pad -Radio, Videos -Wireless capability -Thinner than 1stGen -User friendly interface -Sexy
Cons: -Battery life not as good as it could be. -Still a tiny Thicker than ipod
The Bottom Line: Best player out there. All of the features of the ipod, plus many more. Does it better too.
Review: Plenty of PMPs (personal media players) have been dubbed "ipod killer". Even the first generation Zunes carried that label. But they still had flaws. The second generation Zune is a good improvement from the first. And its sexier! The first and most ...

Epinions 'Is that a black Ipod?' No, It's a Zune. 'What's a Zune?'

by  torontomuse,  Aug 15, 2008
Pros: Screen, Ease-of-Use, Zune Marketplace
Cons: Not compatible with Mac
The Bottom Line: See above.
Review: With the world domination that is the Apple Ipod and their "It's so uncool to use Microsoft" slogan, the superior Microsoft Zune is left in the dust. I travel fairly often and have found many passengers next to me using their Ipods. We often compare ...

Epinions Great product...for the patient person

by  angadrian,  Jan 12, 2008
Pros: It's easy to use and has a more than imaginable amount of storage!
Cons: I had to purchase additional software to allow DVD's to be loaded on the Zune.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the Zune if you do a lot of traveling and want to have the ability to watch videos, listen to music or look at pictures.
Review: My husband travels a lot and I wanted to purchase a MP3 Player for his birthday. After doing much research, I decided on the Microsoft Zune 80GB. The big day finally came when it arrived in the mail! My husband was able to set-up, download the ...

Epinions iPod killer!!!

by  bigrich76,  Mar 1, 2008
Pros: Large and vibrant screen, built in fm radio, clean audio signal, very sexy
Cons: no bluetooth support, no EQ, lack of sufficient aftermarket support
The Bottom Line: An excellent media player that will keep you entertained for hours, reliable and sexy all in one package.
Review: I previously owned an iPod Nano (2nd gen) and when the batter died on it I had to decide if I wanted another iPod or if I should try a different brand. I chosed the Zune 80 and haven't regretted it for a second. Not only is it dead sexy, it's ease of use ...

Epinions The Best Zune Yet

by  kevinm_03,  Nov 30, 2007
Pros: Everything...it's the best Zune yet!!!
Cons: Nothing
The Bottom Line: Everyone needs one
Review: I recently upgraded my old Zune for the new Zune, and let me tell youÂ…this Zune rocks!!!! The graphics have been changed to a newer more modern look, while the screen looks brighter. The new Zune is so much thinner than the old one. It fits easier in my ...

Epinions Zune Player Gets No Respect

by  manroot,  Feb 17, 2008
Pros: Sound Quality, Ease of Navigation, Biggest Screen on a PMP
Cons: Lack of accessories at brick and mortar stores
The Bottom Line: Recommended for anyone with large audio/video collections. This player may even convert a few iPod users. Sound quality and ease of use are excellent, plus an FM radio!
Review: All of my music is ripped to the .wma format so an iPod wouldn’t work for me. Being a self professed music nut, I find the .wma file format sounds better than .mp3 files at comparable bit rates. The .wma format seems to hold the bottom end better, ...
