Pros: Adjustable gameplay, cinematic openings, improved AI, great feel.
Cons: Unrealistic at times, controls are a little "sticky".
The Bottom Line: Any other hockey game can't compare to the likes of this. EA has proven again and again why it is the hockey enthusiasts choice for gameplay.
Review: Much improvement from Electronic Arts's NHL 2001 model here. New storylines have been added to give gameplay a different feel. The clutch saves by the goalie, the dominating offense, the tension in a possible shutout and much more. Highlighting events...

Pros: collectable cards, great music, nice graphics, international teams included
Cons: the fighting is horrible, no real franchise mode
The Bottom Line: NHL 2002 is a very nice sports title, and even though it was made in 2001, it is still a great game to play today.
Review: By now most of you probably know that I am a huge hockey fanatic. Since I have purchased my Xbox, I ...

Pros: Awesome gameplay, sound is great.
Cons: Fighting is a joke, some bad camera angles
The Bottom Line: Crazy fun hockey with endless customization and for the first time ever, introducing "good announcers!"
Review: Before I begin let me say this: I finally have a game I want to play more than Halo! Yay! Yes, thats right. NHL 2002 is now my new XBox game of choice, especially when the friends are over to play. Not to say this game isn't without it's flaws, but...

Pros: Great graphics
Cons: AI still needs to get better
The Bottom Line: NHL 2003 is coming down in price so this one is out the door, but still worth the buy for a few dollars. (not many)
Review: I love the NHL series. It's good but I'm still waiting for what I'd call really good AI. I won't complain though because the game holds my interest through dozens and dozens of games. Many enjoyable hours playing the games. I love playing with the very...

Pros: +Fun Gameplay
+Breakaway and Big Hit Cam
Cons: -Limited Franchise Mode
-Updating
The Bottom Line: Although it is still an average game, I'd recommend it to a friend because it is fun. But if you have a PC get the PC version.
Review: NHL 2002 has usually always been an average game, but for this series to get better EA Sports must look at what other sports game have. NHL 2002 has a shootout mode, season mode (Franchise mode-10 years), playoff mode, exhibition mode and some trading...
