Back in Dec. 99' I wrote an Opinion on the then new Panasonic ES882S Shaver which was one of the first new Linear high speed 12000 RPM available. Now, nearly 5 years later, I've updated my morning routine with this highly acclaimed latest shaver from Panasonic with a spring loaded head. With it's RPM bumped up to 13000 from 12000, an even faster shave is available. It has a small toggle enabling the user to lock in place the pivoting head vs. 2 other variable settings freely floating to every contour a face (or any other area) could possibly have! Mine only took 2 hours to fully charge out of the box and it has a battery life meter showing you the exact range of battery life (recharges in it's own holder without having to plug in a cord into the shaver each time). In between shaves it only takes a couple of minutes to fully recharge to 100 percent! That's extremely fast! This shaver works either way (Dry or Wet) and provides a fast close, comfortable shave whenever needed.
This unit truly provides a high-end shaving experience very comparable to the closest straight-blade available. With blade replacements retailing nearly $10.00 for a pack of 3...One could easily spend over $120.00 just in blade replacements and shaving cream per year using a straight blade. Having used straight blades for the better part of 20 years, I have found a much easier, faster, more comfortable alternative in this shaver than a straight blade ever offered! Got mine from Drugstore.com using a $10.00 off coupon and used Ebates.com to save an additional 6% bringing the price to just over $120.00...The built-in trimmer is also very effective and cuts even. Comes in 3 different rubber trimmed color variations, purple, black or blue, either way you will be truly amazed at how far the electric shaving experience has come. Welcome to the 21st Century!
