Pros: Excellent Writing and Story, Dramatic Atmosphere
Cons: Poorly Implemented Controls, Linear
The Bottom Line: Easily the Best Sleeper Hit of 2005.
Review: When the DS was first released I was expecting a lot of new kinds of games to be output onto the platform. One of the more oddball releases was a port of a GBA game that had never made it out of Japan. Did I mention that this particular game happens to ...

Pros: fun, good murder plots
Cons: annoying sidekicks!
The Bottom Line: try it!
Review: The Nintendo DS and Wii are two systems that encourage the development of "innovative" games because of their lack of power compared to the PSP, Xbox 360, and the PS3. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is a perfect example of a DS game that's a little ...

Pros: well developed cast, good soundtrack, involving script, great story
Cons: linear, somewhat unrealistic portrayal of how a trial works (not that it matters much)
The Bottom Line: A colorful cast of well developed characters drives the plot along nicely while the player gets to berate the bad guys until his/her little heart is content.

Pros: humor, animation style, plot content, challenging
Cons: high difficulty, tons of text
The Bottom Line: Most people love it - so take a chance and buy it. And it's still entertaining when replayed.
Review: I first purchased Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney after being strongly recommended to do so by several friends, but I was fairly skeptical as to its entertainment value. I mean, a video game based on courtroom drama? But all my expectations were ...

Pros: Courtroom parts are fun; Some nice DS-specific features in the final episode
Cons: Cumbersome detective parts; Linear, lazy game design; No replay value; Basically a GBA game
The Bottom Line: 2.5 Stars; For (desperate) fans of the genre only.
Review: Phoenix Wright is unusual as far as game protagonists go. He doesn't wear a ninja costume or command a platoon of leathernecks. He's not an acrobat, nor can he materialize fireballs in the palms of his hands. Hell, the schmuck can't even wield a ...
