Pros: Small, 5 hours of recording on one disc, FA/AM/TV/Weather remote! Nice attractive design!
Cons: Too much cord on remote. Not enough cord on headphones.
The Bottom Line: Great technology for the music fan. Check one out today!
Review: I find it quite odd, that one of the greatest inventions in the 20th century has still not quite taken off! The minidisc. Remember when the CD first came out? It was the greatest, the sound quality was incredible, no more broken or mangled cassette ...

Pros: Cheap media, nearly infinite reuse, copies CDs and MP3s, protected discs
Cons: Annoying software, frustrating antennae, no music uploading
The Bottom Line: Better than MP3 players (cheaper, better sound) and smaller than CD players. Software takes some getting used to. Can't upload music w/o additional work.
Review: First, I'd like to give a little background about minidiscs for those who haven't seen them.
I've been interested in minidisc players and recorders since I read a preview in Discover magazine back in the late '80s. The first time I actually... |

Pros: Cost vs. Benefit
Cons: Sony new HiMD players
The Bottom Line: It is a great device, great media and you can't find a better Player/Recorder for the price.
Review: I needed a replacement for my Sony MP3 CD player, the size was the problem with it. I like to go to everywhere with music on my ears and the CD player is kinda bulky for that purpose (that makes me wonder why I bought it in the first place). I started to ...

Pros: Great sound, great volume, great battery life.
Cons: Display not backlit and only one line of text.
Review: I agree with virtually everything the other reviewers have written. Sony's proprietary ATRAC3 compression algorithm DOES sound better than MP3, no question about that. Fortunately, you probably won't care which compression method your player uses, so ...

Pros: battery life, sound quality, price, and durability
Cons: it doesn't come with a belt clip, and the head phones aren't the best quality.
Review: this mini disc player is the best value because it comes with software for downloads and transfers, has a am/fm radio, and has a very long battery life, the sound quality is amazing, and for most bands can hold all of their cd's on one mini disc! how one ...

Pros: Small, easy to use - very portable...
Cons: The software for transferring has issues every now and again.
The Bottom Line: A most excellent, portable audio device. Highly recommended for all music fans and especially those who aren't electronics-savvy.
Review: Preamble I don't know how it came up, but back in October, my buddy Mike and I were filling Garrett in on the Sony Personal MiniDisc Player. As we sat there, explaining what it is, how it works, it suddenly occurred to me to post a review ...

Pros: excellent sound quality, remote, rechargeable battery, radio, one MiniDisc holds over five hours of music
Cons: SonicStage software, the cable is too long, broke after 18 months
The Bottom Line: MiniDisc players are better than most audio devices available on the market, and the MZ-NF610 is one of the best models.
Review: Finally, this is the moment you've all been waiting for. I have settled down to write a review on my new MiniDisc Player, the audio device that I chose to be the heir to my CD player. I ordered the player from ...

Pros: Good value, decent design, feature-rich, nice remote
Cons: Somewhat slow, rechargable battery has short life, HORRIBLE SOFTWARE
The Bottom Line: The horrible counterintuitive software package is the only reason why you shouldn't purchase this unit. You won't be disappointed otherwise.
Review: I was introduced to the world of Minidiscs by a friend at my high school (both now graduated, :-D) a ...

Pros: inexpensive media; portable; comes with remote; excellent sound, long battery life; elegant design
Cons: software imposes restrictions, uploading is difficult, no optical cable, a bit pricey
The Bottom Line: Despite the restrictions of its software, the MZ-NF610 is a great audio player thatÂ’s expandable, reliable, sounds excellent, and comes with a handy remote
Review: The MZ-NF610 is an excellent alternative to portable MP3 players because its small, very stable, has superior sound quality, and it uses high quality minidisc media. Furthermore, the MZ-NF610 is one of Sonys newer portable MD players equipped wi ...
