Epinions COOL LOOKING and very easy to operate.

by  newbou,  Feb 6, 2005
Pros: Great sound, compact for a CD clock radio, lots of handy little extras.Great LCD settings.
Cons: Needs a separate buzzer volume setting. And the buzzer is not loud enough.
Review: I found this CD alarm clock to be very easy to operate. Just read the instructions. It's funky looking and has lots of little extras. It has great sound quality and it doesn't take up a whole lot of room. People have to remember, its an alarm clock, not ...

Epinions Sony ingenuity in a petite package.

by  jican,  Feb 5, 2007
Pros: Compact, dual alarm clock, radio, CD player, with lots and lots of extras.
Cons: No back-up battery.
The Bottom Line: This is a compact unit, with more thoughtful features and functions than I'd seen in any other alarm/radio/CD player. One feature skipped, was the back-up battery for power outages.
Review: My older clock radio/CD player broke and I was in need of another. I had shopped around for a replacement and came across this completely fully featured, super-compact model. FEATURES This spunky little unit measures 7" x 8" x 7" in height ...

Epinions Durable, nice features, but BRIGHT!

by  kmeddington,  Feb 24, 2006
Pros: Good features, good sound quality, sleek design
Cons: Way too bright, no battery backup, spinning sound precedes CD alarm
The Bottom Line: If you can deal with the brightness of the display, I would recommend this based on the features, sound quality, and durability
Review: This is my second Sony brand clock radio. My previous one lasted over 10 years, despite being dropped from high shelves multiple times. I bought this one because I wanted to wake up to a CD rather than radio. This one has also survived a somewhat less ...

Epinions Functional but ugly

by  _pinionguy_,  Aug 5, 2004
Pros: - Actually has two independent alarms
Cons: - Ugly - Display too bright - Buttons are confusing
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you want an alarm clock that has 2 independent alarms since it is so difficult to find them.
Review: I got this clock radio for $80 from ABT (www.abtelectronics.com) I'm not sure of the cost after tax. First of all I used to use an old sony bookshelf system as my alarm clock, and it had 3 separate alarms (you could set them all independently). The CD ...

Epinions Bad Reception & Too Bright

by  magdaleesia,  Dec 5, 2005
Pros: Lots of nice features and I like the looks.
Cons: Display too bright for a dark room and also hard to read from an angle.
Review: I'm struggling with the decision of whether or not to return this. I really like all the features, but the display, even on the lowest setting, lights up the room. How in world did this make it to production for an alarm clock? I even put ...

Epinions Two show-stoppers: LED & Volume

by  howeird,  Jul 13, 2005
Pros: Most buttons on front, easy to reach. Cool design. Good CD player.
Cons: Way too bright, poor reception, volume control hidden, no station scan/seek. No battery backup.
Review: Looks very nice. I wanted the control buttons on the front where I can find them when still half-asleep. Intuitive clock and preset setup, good CD mechanism. But the display is way too bright, the blue backlight makes the black LEDs hard to read from an ...

Epinions Sony Dream machine

by  pamelamocksthe,  Aug 8, 2008
Pros: LOVED that you could program in the local TV stations.
Cons: TOO bright. VERY difficult operation. After only 1 year heavy plug no longer works!
The Bottom Line: Very good concept. If plug did not break it Would could be used in an office cubical, but never for a bedroom.
Review: I have had very good luck in the past with Sony. This is an extra player for our bed, (not our daily alarm clock). Just wanted it for late night listening that would not interrupt our alarm clock, or my husband sleeping (I use ear phone).I liked the ...
